Hitachi Solutions will resell the Stellar Cyber Open eXtended detection and response (XDR) platform in the Japanese market, according to a prepared statement.

In addition, Hitachi will support these customers and help them get the most value out of the platform.

Open XDR will help Japanese customers solve many cybersecurity challenges, Hitachi Executive Officer Kenichi Hirama said. The platform enables these customers to protect against sophisticated cyberattacks. Moving forward, the platform also could "play an active role in cyber resilience," Hirama noted.

Stellar Cyber Continues Global Expansion

The Hitachi partnership comes after Stellar Cyber in February 2023 announced an agreement with MSSP ARES Cyber Intelligence. Together, Stellar Cyber and ARES are bringing intelligent security operations services to the DACH region, the companies said.

ARES is using Open XDR to onboard customers into its security operations center (SOC) and expand its SOC services, CEO Jürgen Weiss said. It also helps ARES simplify its security analysts' workloads, increase productivity and can deploy resources more efficiently than ever before, Weiss indicated.

Previously, Stellar Cyber in January 2023 partnered with Vintcom Technology, an Asian cybersecurity solutions distributor. Vintcom offers OpenXDR in Thailand, the company stated.

Cybersecurity Companies Launch Stellar Cyber Integrations

To date, several cybersecurity companies have integrated Open XDR into their offerings, including:

Open XDR delivers an eight-times improvement in mean time to detect (MTTD) and 20-times improvement in mean time to respond (MTTR), according to Stellar Cyber. MSSPs can join Stellar Cyber's Jumpstart Partner Program to integrate the platform into their offerings.
