TPx Embraces CounterTack for Managed Endpoint Security Services

TPx Communications, a managed service provider (MSP) that offers unified communications, managed IT and network connectivity services, has announced plans to integrate the CounterTack Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) into its Managed Endpoints offering later this year.

With the EPP integration, Managed Endpoints will enable organizations to pinpoint potential infiltrations and neutralize unknown malware, fileless malware and other advanced endpoint threats, according to a prepared statement.

Managed Endpoints is a workstation and server solution that helps organizations simultaneously maintain their customer systems and free up in-house resources, TPx said.

Key features of Managed Endpoints include:

  • Application Patching: Provides application patching for server and workstation security updates.
  • Inventory Reporting: Offers monthly endpoint reports.
  • Maintenance and Monitoring: Notifies end users about server status and provides CPU utilization, memory utilization and other metrics.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoots functionality and installation issues with Microsoft Windows and other approved applications.

EPP is an endpoint detection, response and prevention solution that leverages real-time binary analysis for processes running in memory, CounterTack stated. It combines threat detection, predictive analytics and automated mitigation to help organizations accelerate threat response and remediation.

In addition, EPP can ingest and process endpoint telemetry data with real-time analytics, according to CounterTack. This ensures organizations can use EPP to quickly identify and address advanced malware, insider threats and other cyber threats across thousands of endpoints.

What Does the CounterTack Integration Mean for TPx?

TPx has posted 16 consecutive years of revenue growth, and the CounterTack integration could help the company capitalize on the rising demand for endpoint security solutions.

The global endpoint security market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.4 percent between 2015 and 2020, according to industry analyst MarketsandMarkets. Furthermore, this sector could be worth nearly $17.4 billion by 2020.
