2. Sophos Zero Day Patch: Sophos published an emergency security update on April 25 to patch a zero-day vulnerability in its XG enterprise firewall product that was being abused in the wild by hackers, ZDNet reports.

3. Ransomware Attacks California City: The victim is Torrance, California, near Los Angeles.

4. Work From Home Cyberattacks: Phishing and malware attacks rose more than 80 percent in March 2020 amid the shift toward WFH business communications, SolarWinds says. Moreover, SolarWinds Mail Assure detected and blocked approximately 10 million phishing attacks per week with a filtering accuracy of over 99.999%, the software company says.

5. Checkpoint Earnings: Checkpoint Software Technologies' Q1 2020 financial results included:

The managed service spans cloud-based video management, IP cameras, remote monitoring, alert verification and system health monitoring.

7. Mobile Endpoint Protection: Cybereason has launched Cybereason Mobile, a cloud-based offering designed to help enterprises prevent, detect and respond to both mobile device and traditional endpoint risks by connecting disparate threats in a single and complete malicious operation (Malop), the company asserts.
