Crosslake Technologies Buys Cybersecurity Advisory Firm VantagePoint

Crosslake Technologies, a digital, technology and software advisor and portfolio company of private equity firm Falfurrias Capital Partners, has purchased cybersecurity advisory firm VantagePoint for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 643 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Crosslake, founded in 2008, is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company has 219 employees listed on LinkedIn. Crosslake’s areas of expertise include cybersecurity, digital transformation, technical assessment, quality engineering and software architecture.

VantagePoint, founded in 2017, is based in Austin, Texas. The company has seven employees listed on LinkedIn. VantagePoint’s areas of expertise include cybersecurity, cloud security, technology consulting, security consulting, network security, application security and security audits.

Crosslake Expands Its Cybersecurity Practice

VantagePoint represents a strategic investment in Crosslake’s cybersecurity practice, the companies said. It allows Crosslake to provide program implementation, transaction due diligence, fractional CISO leadership and penetration testing services and consultative audit and assessment support.

VantagePoint co-founders Danny Tijerina and Rohan Kotian will serve as managing directors at Crosslake, the companies noted. Tijerina and Kotian will focus on client service and explore ways to bolster Crosslake’s security practice.

A Closer Look at VantagePoint and Crosslake

VantagePoint prioritizes cybersecurity for modern infrastructure. The company offers a variety of cybersecurity consulting services:

  • Assessment and audit
  • Engineering
  • Penetration testing
  • Staff augmentation
  • Transaction consulting

Crosslake provides the Corsis platform, which provides organizations with insights into their technology investments. Corsis uses insights from more than 3,500 customer investments to help organizations get the most value out of their technology.

Corsis also allows organizations to generate technology investment scores against various benchmarks, Crosslake stated. In doing so, Corsis helps organizations identify security risks and discover technology investment opportunities.

Crosslake does not currently offer a partner program for MSSPs and MSPs. However, Crosslake may look to explore channel partnerships in the future.
