Nominet, a UK-based cybersecurity services provider, has acquired network detection and response as-a-service company CyGlass for an undisclosed sum. CyGlass will continue to operate as a separate business from its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.

This is M&A deal Number 119 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2020. Roughly 23 of those deals involve cybersecurity providers and MSSPs. See the complete M&A deal list here.

The CyGlass acquisition enables Nominet to incorporate network detection and response capabilities into its cybersecurity portfolio, the company stated. It also highlights Nominet's commitment to extend its cybersecurity market reach via acquisitions and organic growth.

A Closer Look at CyGlass

CyGlass provides an NDaaS that identifies, detects and responds to network threats without requiring any additional hardware, software or people, according to Nominet. In addition, CyGlass delivers a cloud offering that analyzes an organization's network activity, learns what is normal and alerts end-users when suspicious behaviors are detected.

To date, CyGlass has secured customers via channel partners in the United States, Europe, Middle East and Asia, Nominet said. CyGlass also will use Nominet's Velocity reseller partner program in the future.

Securefort Unveils CyGlass Integration

MSSP Securefort earlier this month integrated CyGlass' artificial intelligence-based network behavior anomaly detection solution into its managed services portfolio.

Securefort uses CyGlass' solution to obtain visibility into customer and partner networks and protect these networks against cyber threats, the company stated. It also leverages CyGlass' solution to help organizations identify, analyze and classify network assets and detect and respond to network-based cyberattacks in real-time.
