AgileBlue Adds M365 Security Module to Tackle Misconfigurations and Improve Cloud Security

Misconfigurations in Microsoft 365 are one of the most common and costly causes of security incidents, but they often go unnoticed until attackers exploit them. AgileBlue has launched an M365 Security module designed to not just detect these gaps, but to ensure they’re fixed quickly, correctly, and without adding operational burden.

Lee Buttke, managing director and CISO of AgileBlue, said the module was built to go far beyond traditional detection.

"Once a misconfiguration is identified, the module automatically prioritizes issues based on risk, provides clear, step-by-step remediation instructions, and validates that the fix was applied correctly. This entire process is continuous and automated, requiring no specialized M365 security expertise from the customer’s team. Our 24/7 U.S.-based SOC adds a layer of oversight, ensuring critical issues are addressed immediately and correctly, while our automation eliminates the manual workload that typically slows response times. The result is faster, more reliable remediation without additional operational strain.”

The M365 Security module continuously scans for risky settings in line with Microsoft and CISA best practices, flags high-severity issues first, and maintains an ongoing baseline to prevent problems from resurfacing. It integrates directly into AgileBlue’s AI-powered SecOps platform, combining automation with human-backed monitoring and response.

Built for Scaling Across MSPs and MSSPs

For MSPs and MSSPs, Buttke said the module’s design makes it possible to manage Microsoft 365 misconfigurations across multiple tenants without drowning in alerts.

“The M365 Security module centralizes misconfiguration management across all customers, enabling unified visibility and consistent enforcement of security baselines. Alerts are intelligently filtered and prioritized to focus only on high-impact misconfigurations, reducing noise and eliminating alert fatigue.

Automated validation ensures that once a fix is applied, it remains in place - helping service providers maintain compliance and security standards across multiple environments simultaneously. "By integrating seamlessly with our AI-powered SecOps platform, MSPs and MSSPs can deliver this protection at scale, while still benefiting from our SOC’s expertise to manage exceptions and complex cases," says Buttke.

The module is available immediately for new and existing AgileBlue customers, giving organizations and service providers a streamlined way to reduce human error, strengthen M365 security posture, and stay compliant without expanding internal teams.
