"Until recently, trying to assess the cyber risk for a giant multi-million-dollar industrial facility has been an antiquated process filled with spreadsheets, estimates and questionnaires. DeNexus is taking away that guesswork and giving Ampere the ability to provide a credible and customized view of our customers' cyber risk posture utilizing evidence-based data."
What the Partnership Means for Ampere and DeNexus
Ampere and DeNexus are developing a standardized baseline of cyber risk management for DeNexus' DeRISK cyber risk platform, the companies said.DeRISK is a cloud-based technology that provides visibility into an industrial facility's cyber risk exposure to cyberattacks and other security events, DeNexus indicated. It calculates the probability of loss and financial impact of security events and delivers ROI-based mitigation options.Meanwhile, organizations can utilize DeRISK to prioritize their cyber risk budgets. DeRISK also helps organizations "make better risk transfer decisions," according to DeNexus.DeNexus CEO Jose Seara commented on how Ampere bolsters DeRISK's dataset:"No company in the industrial cybersecurity space brings more credibility and knowledge of protecting industrial control systems and operational technologies. Ampere's vast human knowledge and expertise across numerous sectors within the ICS (industrial control systems) and OT (operational technology) security landscape will help DeNexus calibrate the inputs into our DeRISK dataset."
