Apptega has launched Edge, a product for MSPs that "delivers compliance management, integrated marketplaces and cyber insurance all in one platform," according to the company.
Edge helps MSPs build, manage and report on their customers' cybersecurity programs, Apptega said.
The product's features include:
- Assessments and measurements of customer security practices against more than 25 frameworks
- Out-of-the-box integrations that MSPs can use to automate tasking and evidence collection
- Instant provisioning of customer programs through a white-labeled and multi-tenant portal
- Cyber insurance suggestions to help MSPs identify the best and most affordable coverage options for their customers
Edge Also Offers a Private Marketplace for MSPs
MSPs can access an Edge marketplace to "easily map their products to every cybersecurity framework requirement on the sub-control level," Apptega noted. From here, Edge automatically recommends an MSP's products to fill customer program gaps, increase their compliance scores and generate new revenue streams for the MSP.
MSPs can access a library of third-party security products through Edge. They can create their own branded security solutions and bundles as well.
Commenting on Edge and its potential impact on MSPs moving forward, Apptega CEO Armistead Whitney said:
"Apptega Edge is the first platform built specifically for MSPs that equips them with everything they need to deliver powerful cybersecurity and compliance to their customers. The tailwinds for this have never been stronger and we're thrilled to make it easy for MSPs to capitalize on this growing $40 billion market."
Apptega Introduces vCISO Service
The Edge announcement comes after Apptega in June 2023 unveiled ApptegaGPT, an in-app virtual CISO service that utilizes generative artificial intelligence to provide recommendations for how organizations can comply with industry mandates, according to the company.
ApptegaGPT gives organizations a virtual consultant that provides them with custom remediation recommendations and the steps that must be taken to comply with industry mandates, Apptega stated. Once an organization receives ApptegaGPT recommendations, they can be modified as needed.
Apptega offers a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform that MSSPs and MSPs can use to build cybersecurity and compliance programs for their customers. The company has secured at least $37 million in funding. It also provides a partner program, and to date, has established partnerships with over 100 MSSPs, consultants and resellers.
