Bitdefender, a Romanian cybersecurity and threat intelligence company, has announced an endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution that MSPs can use to help organizations improve their security posture, according to a prepared statement.
The EDR solution combines endpoint telemetry and human risk analytics with threat detection capabilities, Bitdefender said. It provides MSPs with visibility into vulnerable systems across their customers' on-premise and cloud environments.
Furthermore, the EDR solution offers one-click actions that MSPs can use to mitigate risks, including quarantining files, blocking IP addresses and killing processes, Bitdefender said. The solution also is delivered via the cloud and can be used in combination with other cybersecurity technologies.
Bitdefender Updates GravityZone Platform
Along with unveiling its EDR solution for MSPs, Bitdefender has incorporated the following upgrades into its GravityZone unified security and risk analytics platform:
- Executive dashboard that provides MSPs with insights into threat detections, endpoint inventory and other security data
- Integrations with security information and event management (SIEM) tools that allow MSPs to forward raw and/or system events from protected endpoints
- Ransomware mitigation that lets MSPs restore encrypted files from tamper-proof copies following a ransomware attack
Bitdefender's EDR solution and an updated version of GravityZone are now available. Also, Bitdefender's EDR solution is offered as a standalone product or through the cloud.
Introducing Bitdefender MDR for MSPs
Bitdefender's EDR solution and GravityZone announcements come after the company in September 2020 unveiled managed detection and response (MDR) packages for MSPs. These packages allow MSPs to provide 24/7 monitoring, analytics, threat intelligence and other security capabilities to help their customers identify and mitigate cyber threats.
Previously, Bitdefender released MDR services for MSPs in July 2020. With these services, MSPs can leverage Bitdefender's security operations center (SOC) in San Antonio, Texas to hunt, identify and neutralize threats.
