Changes in the Channel: People Moves and Shakeups Week of March 31-April 7

The channel is all about people -- and we're tracking who they are, what they're doing, and where they're making an impact. Instead of sprinkling these people-focused announcements across various roundups, we're pulling them all together into one weekly story.

Here are the people moves we've tracked during the week of March 31 to April 7.

Commvault names new CSO: Cyber resilience and data protection solutions provider Commvault announced the appointment of Bill O’Connell as its chief security officer (CSO). O’Connell joins Commvault with nearly 20 years of cybersecurity, risk, and data privacy experience, including prior leadership roles at Roche and ADP.

Salvador Tech appoints new advisory board member: Cyber resilience and recovery solutions provider Salvador Tech announced that Armis Co-Founder and CTO Nadir Izrael has joined its advisory board. As an advisory board member, Nadir will support Salvador Tech’s unified resilience platform. Nadir is an expert on threat detection and mitigation, and the company says his appointment will strengthen the value proposition for Salvador channel partners.

360 Privacy makes three exec appointments: Digital executive protection platform 360 Privacy has made three executive appointments to its leadership team. These new leaders will support the company's ambitious growth plans following its recent funding round from FTV Capital and will help to grow its solutions. Sean Damaso joined as chief financial officer, Chuck Randolph as the new senior vice president of strategic intelligence and security, and Fred Burton as strategic advisor. All three are industry veterans with decades of expertise in finance, security intelligence, and executive protection.

Pia names Chief Strategy Officer Nic Ferraro to CRO role; James Allen to EVP strategic accounts: Nic Ferraro, Pia's chief strategy officer, will now assume the role as the company's first chief revenue officer (CRO). Ferraro was the founding chief customer officer at Virtual IT Group, an MSP that Pia was built out of, where he spearheaded nine acquisitions and drove a fourfold revenue increase before becoming Pia's founding chief operating officer (COO). Pia is also elevating James Allen from senior vice president of sales to executive vice president of strategic accounts, where he will launch and lead this new team. Allen, another Pia and Virtual IT Group veteran, has been instrumental to the company's growth trajectory. The new appointments follow Pia's recent strategic reorganization to fuel growth.
