Cloud Range Unveils Cyber Range-as-a-Service Platform

Share

Cloud Range has brought to market its Range365 cyber range-as-a-service platform.

Range365 delivers "an on-demand, fully customizable cyber range sandbox for unlimited cybersecurity simulation training and live production environment testing," according to the company.

Range365 is a virtual cyber range sandbox that promotes cyber defense training and testing, threat intelligence utilization, regulatory compliance and product testing, Cloud Range noted. It delivers the benefits of a custom and configurable cyber range without the need to invest in infrastructure, technology, content creation or administration.

What Range365 Offers

Range365's features include:

  • Simulated multi-segment network that mimics an organization's infrastructure
  • Content library that includes cyberattack scenarios based on threat intelligence
  • 24/7/365 access to a custom cyber range environment
  • Reporting that organizations can use to track their progress, measure skill improvement and find ways to reduce operational risk

How Organizations Can Use Range365

MSSPs and MSPs can integrate Range365 into their portfolios and use it to test and demo products and solutions in environments that emulate their customers' infrastructure and security tool stacks, Cloud Range said.

MSSPs and MSPs also can use the platform to provide their customers with a proof of concept (POC) to demonstrate product interoperability and solution viability in a customer's replicated environment and in a live-fire attack under real network conditions, Cloud Range indicated.

Organizations can use Range365 for security and testing applications, including:

  • Red and blue team exercises
  • Malware engineering
  • Penetration testing
  • Vulnerability scanning
  • Translating threat intelligence into experiential simulations
  • Forensic analysis
  • Patch testing
  • Product testing

Cloud Range Lets Organizations Simulate Critical Infrastructure Attacks

The Range365 announcement comes after Cloud Range in January 2023 started offering an operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) cyber range to simulate live-fire attacks on critical infrastructure. Incident responders and security operations centers (SOCs) can use this cyber range to understand, train and prepare to protect their organizations' critical infrastructure, Cloud Range said.

Cloud Range provides cybersecurity simulation training solutions to global organizations. The company offers a partner program for MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers. It previously partnered with ActiveBytes Innovations, an information security solutions company, and continues to explore partnership opportunities.
