Cloud5 Communications absorbs interTouch CALA to grow in Latin America

The acquisition of interTouch CALA by Cloud5 Communications significantly deepens the hospitality-focused MSP and MSSP's presence in Latin America. This move is strategically timed as hotel brands rapidly expand throughout Central and South America. Cloud5 CEO Mark Holzberg stated that the acquisition brings valuable regional business expertise and hotel customer relationships that would be challenging to build organically.

While Cloud5 has historically focused on the U.S. and Canada, this deal allows them to offer their comprehensive MSP and MSSP portfolio, including high-speed internet, telephony, and managed network services, to hotels across the entire Western Hemisphere. The acquisition is particularly important for navigating country-specific regulations and business practices in South America, an area where competitors have struggled to establish a foothold organically. The deal is expected to close on September 30, with an October 1 launch, as reported by CRN.
