DXC and 7AI Unveil Agentic SOC to Redefine Managed Security with Autonomous AI Agents

DXC Technology has rolled out a new security operations model built around AI agents, launching the DXC Agentic Security Operations Center (SOC) in partnership with 7AI. The goal is to put AI agents to work across repetitive and time-consuming tasks, while letting security teams zero in on real risk.

This isn’t theoretical. Across 7AI’s current customer base, the platform has already saved over 224,000 analyst hours and more than $11 million in operational costs. DXC is now extending that value to global customers by embedding 7AI’s platform into its delivery model across detection, investigation, and remediation workflows. These AI agents aren’t just tagging alerts; they’re making autonomous decisions in real time, based on context, attack paths, and risk impact.

Redefining Analyst Workflows and Risk Measurement

"We’ll record time-to-detect and time-to-respond on every incident, exhibiting to customers how AI-driven context reduces investigation time," Dawn-Marie Vaughan, Cybersecurity Global Offering Lead at DXC Technology told MSSP Alert.

"In our Agentic SOC, analysts see real-time risk overlays, attack-path visuals, and contextual playbook steps, so they spend their time on the few, critical incidents that truly matter. That’s how we help customers cut through noise and apply their expertise where it counts.”

Vaughan says it’s not just about speed and alert volume. The company plans to track measurable outcomes, including mean time to detect (MTTD), mean time to respond (MTTR), and breach-impact cost reduction using risk-based scoring dashboards.

“By combining MTTD/MTTR improvements with breach-impact cost models, we’ll generate succinct risk-score based dashboards for our customers, demonstrating continuous reduction of cyber-risks and security posture improvements,” she added.

Transparency, Governance, and the Role of Partners

Still, the AI doesn’t get free rein. In regulated industries, trust hinges on transparency, and DXC has built its Agentic SOC with that in mind. "Dynamic Reasoning isn’t a black box,” said Vaughan. "It’s a governed, explainable accelerator.”

She noted that all AI-driven actions are tied to structured data, confidence levels, and attack-path logic, making it easier for analysts to verify and approve, or override, recommendations. Every decision is logged in a compliant audit trail that aligns with frameworks like DORA, NIS2, HIPAA, and SOX. High-risk actions still require human review and electronic signoff.

That layered approach, Vaughan explained, allows DXC to deliver AI-powered security outcomes without compromising on accountability or governance. “From pilot to full deployment, we evaluate 7AI’s analysis, recall precision, and decision path accuracy against live SOC telemetry. Models are tuned to align with each customer’s prioritized risks.”

As for the future of DXC’s existing SOCs, the Agentic model isn’t a full replacement, but an evolution. “We believe Agentic AI plays a critical role in the fight against cyber threats, offering an additional layer of continuous protection,” said Vaughan. “This is the first step into an AI-augmented SOC where human expertise is at the center.”

Partners aren’t being left behind either. DXC has no plans to wall off this model from its MSSP and MSP collaborators. “7AI’s capabilities are agnostic, as is DXC’s service model,” Vaughan said. “We’re embedding 7AI into our existing partner ecosystem. This is not about displacing partners, but about elevating them alongside our customers.”
