Extreme Networks Offers Universal Zero Trust Security Solution

Zero Trust

Extreme Networks has brought to market ExtremeCloud Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), which combines network, device and application access capabilities into a single solution, according to the company.

Universal ZTNA is expected to be generally available in early 2024, Extreme said.

What Extreme Universal ZTNA Offers

Universal ZTNA is "the culmination of several initiatives at Extreme," Chief Technology Officer Nabil Bukhari said. It provides organizations with the foundation for "Anywhere Security," Bukhari added, and ensures that organizations can secure end-user access to any application from any device.

With Universal ZTNA, organizations can utilize "an easy-to-manage access layer that spans anywhere users access the network," Extreme noted. This layer helps organizations secure their operations and internet of things (IoT) devices.

In addition, Universal ZTNA lets organizations manage and enforce identity-level zero trust policies across their user base, Extreme said. Organizations can use Universal ZTNA to create policies for least-privileged access policies for their users, extend secure access for multiple guest cohorts and create and revoke access for trusted IoT devices.

Extreme Universal ZTNA Reduces Network Complexity and Costs

Universal ZTNA lets organizations manage user access to networks and applications, regardless of a user's location, Extreme said. It is built in the cloud and requires less than a day to deploy.

Universal ZTNA also provides automatic on-boarding and configuration for all Extreme Universal Platforms, the company pointed out. This ensures that organizations can use Universal ZTNA to quickly add and set up network devices and user access.

Extreme Provides Cloud-Driven Networking Solutions

More than 50,000 organizations use Extreme's networking solutions to connect their devices, applications and people, the company said. These solutions leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation and analytics to help organizations digitally transform their operations.

Extreme is the "fastest-growing vendor in cloud-managed networking," the company indicated. It offers a partner program that lets technology providers use its technologies to deliver networking services, products and solutions.
