High Wire Networks Unveils Secure Web Browser Solution

Share

High Wire Networks has brought to market the Overwatch by High Wire universal web browser solution.

Designed to "disrupt the secure access service edge (SASE) space," the solution adds a new dimension to identity and access management (IAM) and revolutionizes the way enterprises secure their organizations," according to the company.

Initially, High Wire will roll out the solution to select partners and customers over the next few months, the company said. From here, High Wire will offer the solution through its network of more than 625 channel partners.

Hybrid, Remote Workforce Security Remains a Problem

Many global organizations struggle to secure their hybrid and remote workforces and digitally transform their operations, High Wire noted. Meanwhile, most web browsers were not designed for the security challenges that come with managing a distributed workforce. Cybercriminals often target web browsers to steal data or hold it for ransom.

To combat these threats, organizations frequently deploy multiple security tools, High Wire indicated. However, doing so can be expensive and complicated. Furthermore, many security tools cannot stop phishing, malware and other types of cyberattacks.

High Wire's Solution Secures Any Web Browser

The universal web browser solution extends the capabilities of many existing security solutions and replaces others, High Wire said. It combines multiple networking and network security services into a single solution and promotes centralized policy and security management, user visibility and web security and governance.

In addition, the solution eliminates the need for physical or cloud firewalls, gateways or network monitoring software.

Key features of High Wire's solution include:

  • Artificial intelligence-based protection against phishing, ransomware and other cyber threats
  • Crowdsourced threat intelligence
  • Data redaction and leakage prevention
  • Identity-based securitization of employee and third-party access to resources
  • Secure web gateway

High Wire CEO Mark Porter commented on the solution and what it means for channel partners:

"The introduction of this new technology furthers our journey from simply a managed security services provider to an IP leader in cybersecurity technology with proprietary products and solutions. It takes our Overwatch cybersecurity platform value proposition to a whole new level for the benefit of our channel partners and end customers. For our partners, this cybersecurity solution opens new doors and creates an additional recurring revenue stream on top of managed services."

High Wire Gives MSPs a Security Safety Net

The universal web browser solution announcement comes after High Wire in June 2023 launched the Overwatch Cyber Warranty Program to help MSPs cover the costs to remediate cyberattacks, the company said.

With High Wire's Cyber Warranty Program, MSPs can supplement their cyber insurance coverage. The program gives MSPs financial coverage if their customers suffer data breaches.

Cyber Warranty customers may qualify for discounted or below-market cyber insurance policies of $1 million or more based on their use of Overwatch cybersecurity services.

High Wire provides managed cybersecurity and IT enablement services. The company offers a cybersecurity partner program for MSPs, VARs and other technology providers.
