Top 250 MSSP Logically has struck a partnership with the cybersecurity and managed service provider-centric firm SaaS Alerts and launched the solution to give customers constant, real-time monitoring of their cloud-based applications, according to a prepared statement.
SaaS Alerts is a Wilmington, North Caroline-based cybersecurity company whose platform is purpose-built for MSPs to protect and monetize their customers’ business SaaS applications. Logically is a Dublin, Ohio-located managed security and IT solution provider that helps MSPs protect their assets, reduce risk and optimize performance.
A Closer Look at the Logically, SaaS Alerts Partnership
SaaS Alerts monitors productivity suites such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Dropbox, and Google Workspaces to find potential threats in cloud applications. The automation tool identifies ongoing security threats and provides comprehensive alerting and responses across all applications.
As Buddy Pitt, virtual chief security officer at Logically, explained:

SaaS applications carry a substantial risk due to the sensitive data they often contain and ensuring that the flexibility and scalability they offer is paired with enhanced security, is paramount. SaaS Research Revealed 40,000 Brute Force Attacks
MSSP Alert’s sister site, ChannelE2E, covered SaaS Alerts’ third annual SaaS Application Security Insights Report released in March. Data from the report found that on average, approximately 40,000 brute attacks were launched each day against user accounts monitored by SaaS Alerts.
Here are five of the report's key findings:
- 2022 saw a 61% increase in the rate of phishing attacks compared with 2021. The study also revealed that cybercriminals shifted their attacks to mobile and personal communication channels to reach users and showed a 50% increase in attacks on mobile devices, with scams and credential theft at the top of the list of payloads.
- Outside approved locations accounted for over 55% of the most common critical alerts and occurred when there was a successful login to a user account from outside of an approved location or an approved IP address range.
- Salesforce and Slack generated the most critical alerts on a per-user/per-alert basis. Of all logged Salesforce events, over 8% of those events were critical alerts compared to 3.77% for Slack, 1.82% for Google Workspace, and 1.26% for Office 365.
- Compared to last year’s data, the report found a 29% increase in the number of guest user accounts, which can have access to sensitive data and open access points for bad actors. Of the more than 979,840 SaaS accounts monitored by SaaS Alerts in 2022, 54% were from guest user accounts versus licensed users.
- Overall, the findings in this report emphasize that MSPs must reassess their security posture and strategies to develop new processes and tools to manage customer security in a data environment increasingly dominated by off-premises resources.
