Sourcepass is a New York City-based MSP and MSSP founded in 2020 and has approximately 323 employees, according to the LinkedIn. Big Green IT, based in Rocklin, California, has approximately 32 employees, according to LinkedIn.

Sourcepass Acquisitions Propel Westward Expansion

Sourcepass’ acquisition of Big Green IT — its 11th M&A deal since March 2022 — expands expertise in Microsoft Copilot, Teams, Azure, and Microsoft 365 Cloud solutions. In May 2023, Sourcepass purchased machineLogic as part of its western U.S. expansion. That same month, Sourcepass added $65 million in funding and increased its total financing to $135 million.

Establishing a Microsoft Center of Excellence and expanding its presence on the West Coast have been key initiatives for Sourcepass. "The timing aligns perfectly with the introduction of groundbreaking AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot," Sourcepass said.

Big Green's strong partnership with Microsoft, combined with Sourcepass' industry-leading client experience platform, Quest, made this an attractive deal, according to company leaders.

"The Big Green IT team has a forward-thinking approach centered on their client's success," said Chuck Canton, CEO and founder of Sourcepass. "Together, our job is to allow our clients of all sizes to best compete on a level playing field with any Fortune 500 competitor."

Big Green’s Microsoft Cloud Expertise

Founded by a team of Microsoft Cloud and Hybrid experts in 2012, Big Green IT was “built with the mission of connecting enterprise businesses to the Microsoft Cloud Ecosystem,” according to a prepared statement. Building upon the Microsoft Cloud platform, Big Green IT has added their expertise through consulting, licensing, implementation and support.

"This merger presents an opportunity to align with a leading global IT organization, Sourcepass," said Jeff Rogers, Big Green IT CEO and general manager. "This merger opens the doors to a 24x7 global support team, cybersecurity advisory services, a diverse range of managed and co-managed service offerings, and more."
