Omnissa Launches Workspace ONE Vulnerability Defense to Streamline Endpoint Remediation

Omnissa is expanding its digital workspace platform with a new capability aimed at closing one of IT’s biggest gaps: fragmented vulnerability management. The company unveiled Workspace ONE Vulnerability Defense at its Omnissa ONE 2025 conference in Las Vegas, and positioned the release as a way to bring vulnerability remediation directly into endpoint management and employee experience workflows.

Enterprises often juggle separate tools for endpoint management and security. That fragmentation forces teams to switch between consoles, reconcile data, and coordinate patching through manual steps. The result is delayed remediation and greater exposure to attacks. Workspace ONE Vulnerability Defense addresses this by combining Omnissa’s unified endpoint management (UEM) with CrowdStrike Falcon Exposure Management in a single workflow.

An Omnissa spokesperson said the goal is measurable impact to MSSP Alert, “We expect customers to have significant reduction in the time it takes from gaining visibility to a vulnerability to when it is actually remediated. The Vulnerability Defense solution accelerates the handoff between security and IT, which is often defined by a host of manual and inefficient processes. Our platform will directly ingest the CVEs from the CrowdStrike Falcon exposure management and put it in automation workflows, breaking down the typical silos between security and IT.”

Broader Endpoint Risk and Remediation

The new solution introduces real-time detection, automated vulnerability mapping, and prioritized remediation across all endpoints - whether physical or virtual. IT teams gain visibility through dashboards and reports, with targeted workflows that deliver prepackaged updates. Integration with Omnissa’s Digital Employee Experience (DEX) ensures that patching and remediation are phased in with minimal disruption for users.

For many organizations, the challenge isn’t just finding exposures but also managing a growing set of overlapping tools. The spokesperson noted, “After the Omnissa platform ingests the CVEs and recommendations from CrowdStrike, it flags high-risk devices or apps in Workspace ONE UEM and deploys consolidated fixes using UEM repositories and automations.” This level of integration, they added, makes the case for consolidation clearer: instead of adding another point product, IT and security teams can operate from a single platform where visibility and remediation are directly linked.

Vulnerability Defense builds on Omnissa’s existing Workspace ONE Mobile Threat Defense, which now includes smishing protection with pre-click assessment and prevention. Together, the two offerings give organizations a broader endpoint risk and remediation strategy, spanning desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual apps.

Expanded AI Capabilities for Digital Workspaces

Omnissa is also extending its digital work platform with Omni assistant and a new agentic service, deepening its four-stage AI framework of Alert, Advise, Assist, and Autonomy. The company is positioning these capabilities not only as technical advancements but also as part of a broader commitment to trust and transparency in AI adoption.

According to the spokesperson, the company is embedding safeguards directly into the platform to ensure customers remain in control. “We are giving customers complete opt-out control over AI features they use, so they are always in the driver’s seat and staying consistent with their organizational policies and the velocity at which they want to move forward,” the spokesperson said. “We also provide AI nutrition labels, giving customers complete visibility into every feature, what model is being used, and how we are using the data.” These measures are designed to address growing concerns around AI governance and give organizations a clearer path to adoption without sacrificing accountability.

Omni assistant will bring generative AI-powered, natural language interactions into the digital workspace. This feature is intended to simplify how IT teams and employees access insights, perform knowledge searches, and generate scripts. At the same time, the new agentic service extends automation deeper into operations. “The first use case we are prioritizing is an agentic version of vulnerability defense,” the spokesperson explained. “All Omnissa agentic workflows will have human-in-the-loop awareness and approval controls to ensure a balance of automation and human oversight.” This pairing of automation with structured human review reflects Omnissa’s focus on enabling efficiency without reducing accountability.

Differentiating in a Crowded Market

Omnissa is also aiming to differentiate its approach from competitors. “Many vendors are taking a generalized approach to ‘agents’ that leverages the same models and vendor-driven implementation across every product - whether productivity, security, or management,” the spokesperson said. “We don’t want to create solutions looking for a problem, but instead create relevant solutions built to address specific customer use cases. To this end, we use the most appropriate AI models and implementations targeting different digital work tasks.” The emphasis is on purpose-built integrations - such as scripting, knowledge search, and guided analysis - that tie directly to measurable business outcomes.

The company also sees clear opportunities for partners, particularly MSPs and MSSPs, to build services on top of these capabilities.

“MSPs already provide Workspace ONE service offerings, and the Omni assistant and agentic workflows will provide them with the opportunity to streamline their operational tasks in managing those customers, which can help them improve quality of service and deliver more secure outcomes,” the spokesperson said. By embedding automation into daily IT operations, partners can differentiate their offerings and create new managed services focused on faster resolution times, proactive vulnerability management, and more secure digital work environments.
