Optiv Security Launches Cyber Resiliency, Incident Response Suite

Share

Optiv Security, a Top 100 MSSP for 2017, has launched the EnemyPerspectives@Optiv integrated cybersecurity services suite to help organizations analyze threat actors and stop cyberattacks before they happen.

Chatter about the new offering surfaced at the Black Hat USA 2018 conference this week in Las Vegas.

EnemyPerspectives@Optiv empowers an organization to evaluate its digital footprint from a threat actor's perspective so it can take the necessary steps to address security weaknesses, according to a prepared statement. It includes cybersecurity services across three categories:

  • Cyber Resiliency: Leverages Optiv's Orchestration and Automation and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services to provide visibility into an organization's security posture and accelerate threat detection, response and recovery.
  • Incident Response: Provides incident management, breach simulation and digital forensics capabilities.
  • Threat Actor Profiling: Offers threat intelligence, threat emulation and breach response "war games," exercises designed to help an organization test and evaluate its breach and incident response processes.

Ultimately, EnemyPerspectives@Optiv enables an organization to take an "inside-out" approach to cybersecurity, Optiv indicated. It allows an organization to analyze a threat actor's intent, identify security weaknesses and develop and implement its cybersecurity strategy accordingly.

Optiv Adds to Its European Leadership Team

In addition to the EnemyPerspectives@Optiv launch, Optiv continues to accelerate its international push. The company last month appointed Nigel Gilhespy as its European services director and Rob Lay as its director of solutions architecture in Europe.

Gilhespy possesses more than three decades of business, leadership and technical experience. He previously served as head of consulting and professional services for EMEA at Palo Alto Networks and held leadership roles at Juniper Networks, IBM and Equinix.

Lay has more than 10 years of experience in information security consulting roles. Prior to joining Optiv, Lay led the pre-sales organization for Fujitsu's UK and Ireland (UK&I) division.

Introducing the Optiv Privileged Access Managed Service

Optiv has also unveiled technology milestones throughout 2018. A key example: The company in July unveiled a Privileged Access Managed Service to help organizations protect their privileged credentials against insider threats and mobile, cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) attacks.

The Privileged Access Managed Service is delivered in conjunction with CyberArk, a privileged access security solutions provider. It helps organizations streamline privileged credential management across their operations and integrate privileged access management capabilities into their identity and access management (IAM) programs, according to Optiv.

Optiv provides device management, vulnerability scanning and other managed security services. It also offers incident response, risk and compliance, security consulting, training and support, integration and architecture services.
