Qumulo and Varonis Partnership Takes Aim Against Ransomware
Together, Qumulo and Varonis are providing an end-to-end solution that gives organizations real-time visibility and control over their cloud and on-premises data while automatically remediating risk, the companies said. The solution offers enterprise IT organizations "a simple, secure and scalable way to manage data anywhere," according to the companies.The solution uses Varonis' behavior-based threat models to detect abnormal activity across organizations' cloud and on-premises environments, Qumulo said. That way, they are well equipped to stop cyberattacks before they cause data breaches.Furthermore, Varonis uses Qumulo's APIs and granular audit logging to monitor user logins, permissions changes and file and folder activity to identify suspicious activity, the businesses said.Meanwhile, the solution utilizes cryptographically locking snapshots to secure data, Qumulo saidd. This prevents cybercriminals from infecting organizations' customer data.
