Skybox Security, a company that provides integrated firewall, security policy, threat and vulnerability management solutions, has appointed Uri Levy as its vice president of worldwide channels. Levy is expected to help Skybox expand its reseller network and launch a new MSSP and security integrators program, according to a prepared statement.

Levy possesses more than a decade of channel experience. He originally joined Skybox in January 2010 and most recently served as the company's vice president of sales for its cybersecurity solutions division. Also, Levy has held roles at Computer Associates, NetCom Systems and other network and security integrators.

In his new role, Levy will drive the strategic direction of Skybox's channel program, the company said.

Levy will help Skybox launch a new MSSP and security integrators program next year that includes enhanced certification and training and expanded field technical engagement and support, the company stated. Furthermore, Levy will focus on improving Skybox partner sales enablement, channel marketing and training and certification for resellers.

Skybox Adds CTO, Secures $150 Million in Funding

Skybox looks poised to accelerate its growth in 2018 and beyond, thanks in part to several of the company's recent moves.

In addition to appointing Levy as VP of worldwide channels, Skybox last month named Ron Davidson as its chief technology officer and vice president of research and development, according to a prepared statement. Davidson, a 30-year cybersecurity industry veteran, is expected to lead Skybox's long-term technology vision and help the business develop capabilities in advanced threat management, security management for operational technology networks and other key growth areas.

Meanwhile, Skybox in October raised $150 million in funding led by CVC Capital Partners' Growth Fund (CVC Growth) for $100 million, with participation from Pantheon for $50 million. Skybox plans to use the funding to invest in sales and marketing, customer care, research and development and potential mergers and acquisitions activity.

Skybox offers cybersecurity management software that uses analytics to prioritize an organization's risks and provide recommendations. This software offers capabilities across a variety of networks, including:

  • Cloud.
  • Operational technology.
  • Physical.
  • Virtual.

Skybox reported a 62 percent increase in sales and 59 percent increase in product transactions year over year in the first half of 2017. The company also recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 46 percent and positive cash flow from 2014 to 2016.
