Sysnet Global Solutions, a company that specializes in cybersecurity and compliance solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has acquired the Managed Compliance Solutions (MCS) division of ControlScan, a Top 250 MSSP. The news comes after Sysnet last week acquired cyber defense company Viking Cloud.

This is M&A deal number 528 that MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2020. See the full M&A deal list here.

The MCS acquisition establishes Sysnet as the world's largest compliance and security management services provider, the company said. Sysnet now delivers compliance and security management services to nearly 4 million SMBs and payment processing organizations.

Furthermore, the MCS acquisition supports Sysnet's North American growth, the company stated. Sysnet in February received growth equity funding from investors FTV Capital and True Wind Capital and continues to explore ways to bolster its North American operations.

MCS offers compliance solutions to help organizations meet PCI DSS and HIPAA requirements. It also provides PCI validation services.

PDI Acquires ControlScan's Managed Security Services Division

In addition to Sysnet's MCS acquisition, PDI, an enterprise resource planning (ERP), fuel pricing, logistics and marketing cloud solutions provider, last week announced the acquisition ControlScan's Managed Security Services (MSS) division. The transaction is expected to be finalized later this month.

The MSS acquisition will help PDI deliver cybersecurity solutions that convenience retailers and multi-site operators can use to adopt new technologies and leverage data, PDI CEO Jimmy Frangis said. It also will allow PDI to expand its solutions portfolio and help convenience retailers and multi-site operators drive digital transformation.

MSS provides managed detection and response (MDR), managed endpoint security, unified threat management firewall and other managed security services. Organizations can use these services to guard against cyberattacks and comply with PCI-DSS.
