Deloitte Acquires Splunk, Carbon Black Cybersecurity Partner Converging Data

Deloitte, a Top 100 MSSP, has acquired Converging Data, an Australia-based cybersecurity firm that partners closely with AttackIQ, Carbon Black, Phantom and Splunk, among other companies. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Converging Data's nine-person team will tuck into Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice,  according to reports. The acquired business mainly focuses on the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region, though the company has a growing presence in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).

Converging Data's specialized services include:

  • On-Demand Service -- basically, on-demand talent.
  • Managed Services particularly for deploying and maintaining Splunk.
  • Data Platform as a Service -- which deploys Splunk for cybersecurity, fraud analytics, IT operations and other use cases.

Converging Data's specialized teams include security, DevOps and Splunk professional services experts.

Deloitte: Shopping for Security Acquisitions

Deloitte has been acquiring cloud- and security-centric consulting firms worldwide. An earlier deal involved buying Integrity-Paahi Solutions (IPS), a managed security service provider (MSSP) in Vancouver, Canada.
