Accenture Edge partners with AWS to serve midmarket businesses

Accenture Edge has announced a new partnership with AWS to provide cloud infrastructure, AI, and security services specifically tailored for small and midsize businesses. This alliance expands upon Accenture's existing relationship with AWS, with a particular focus on the midmarket segment that Accenture launched in June, based on information published by Channeldive.

The collaboration between Accenture Edge and AWS aims to address the unique needs of midmarket organizations, offering them solutions designed for their scale rather than adapted from enterprise-level offerings. Accenture Edge for AWS will launch with six distinct services available through the AWS cloud marketplace. These services encompass AI data discovery, virtual machine migration, cloud cost management, security automation, and a suite of cloud-based contact center agents.

This strategic move allows Accenture to deepen its presence in the SMB sector through cloud modernization services and simultaneously provide AWS with access to a highly sought-after customer base. Midmarket companies often face similar technology, data, AI, cybersecurity, and productivity challenges as larger enterprises but require solutions that are quicker to implement, more standardized, and appropriately sized for their operations.
