Huntress expands automated identity threat protection and security tools

Huntress has expanded its Agentic Security Platform with new automated identity threat protections, managed security information and event management capabilities, and security awareness tools designed to help managed service providers detect and respond to attacks across customer environments, according to coverage from Channel Insider.

The updates include features that use intelligence from confirmed identity attacks to block malicious infrastructure across eligible Microsoft 365 tenants, identify compromised service principals, and investigate 180 days of historical login activity for newly onboarded customers. A new capability in Huntress Managed Identity Threat Detection and Response turns intelligence from confirmed attacks into blocking policies for all eligible tenants.

Additionally, the platform now includes Brute Force Sentry to monitor Windows and Linux environments and Defense Drills, which provide hands-on simulations for users during active compromises. These enhancements aim to reduce manual workloads for managed service providers, who face rising security alert volumes. By automating threat response and providing identity posture assessments, Huntress seeks to help partners manage complex environments more efficiently.

These tools reflect a broader industry shift toward autonomous remediation, allowing providers to offer enterprise-grade protection to small and midsize businesses without the associated complexity. The new capabilities are available to partners as part of the company's ongoing effort to scale threat intelligence and improve security outcomes.
