NinjaOne is expanding its Unified IT Operations Platform with the addition of Browser Management, offering managed service providers (MSPs) and enterprise IT teams enhanced centralized visibility and control over browser extensions, web access, and policies. This new capability extends NinjaOne’s endpoint management model into a critical layer increasingly linked to SaaS, AI tool usage, and browser-based security risks, according to a recent report by Channel Insider. The new Browser Management feature provides IT teams and MSPs with a live inventory of all installed extensions across managed browsers, allowing them to block or approve extensions based on risk scores and gain visibility into website usage. This aims to simplify IT operations by consolidating browser management within the existing platform, reducing the need for additional tools. The feature is designed to help IT organizations collaborate more closely with security teams to mitigate browser-based risks, enforce consistent policies, and reduce the attack surface.According to IDC Research VP Phil Hochmuth, the browser is a highly active but often ungoverned layer of enterprise work, leading to limited visibility and inconsistent policy enforcement. Unifying browser management under existing IT operational models is seen as essential for managing risk and improving efficiency.Source: Channel Insider
