Proofpoint expands security portfolio with agentic AI collaboration

Proofpoint is expanding its security portfolio with two new agentic systems designed to automate risk detection, investigation, and remediation across AI, enterprise data, and collaboration tools, as first reported by Channel Insider.

At its Protect 2026 event, Proofpoint unveiled the Agentic Data and AI Security System and the Agentic Collaboration Security System. The Data and AI Security System unifies AI and data security, powered by the Proofpoint Knowledge Graph and utilizing three autonomous agents for detection, investigation, and remediation. It aims to enable safe AI deployment by controlling data access based on intent and translating business policies into runtime controls. The Collaboration Security System employs intent-based detection and agentic capabilities to identify sophisticated attacks across email, collaboration tools, and browsers.

It reasons about user interactions, uses context to differentiate malicious from legitimate activity, and takes action. This system integrates threat intelligence with organizational context. Additionally, Proofpoint introduced Advanced Browser protection, developed with Push Security, to extend collaboration security into the browser, combating threats like post-click phishing and malicious extensions. Browser telemetry is integrated into Proofpoint's security tools for unified visibility and investigation across the collaboration attack chain.
