ROC secures ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security

ROC has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its information security management system. This milestone provides independent validation of the security governance, risk management, and data-protection controls supporting the company's software products, software-as-a-service offerings, and cloud infrastructure, as reported by Biometric Update.

The certification, granted by an independent body accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board, covers the systems used to develop and operate the firm's Vision AI technology. While this standard focuses on organizational security management rather than specific algorithm accuracy, it serves as a critical benchmark for ROC.

The company, which operates in highly regulated sectors including defense, law enforcement, and government, expects the certification to streamline vendor-risk assessments and procurement reviews. Chief Operating Officer Blake Moore stated that this governance validation complements existing National Institute of Standards and Technology performance evaluations to bolster customer confidence.

As ROC expands its portfolio beyond biometrics into areas like video analytics, physical access control, and age assurance, the certification provides a standardized baseline of trust. The designation remains valid for three years, provided the company passes annual surveillance audits. By aligning with this international standard, ROC aims to strengthen its competitive position while meeting the growing demand for secure, enterprise-grade identity solutions in high-stakes markets.
