A. Today’s MSSP, MSP, MDR, XDR and Cybersecurity Market News

  1. Defending the homeland: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced two initiatives to help the U.S. defend critical infrastructure and essential services from cyber attacks, physical attacks and other threats. The department will create a new task force to guide implementation of artificial intelligence technologies with an eye to how both defenders and malicious actors may use them. Separately it will conduct a 90-day sprint to assess defensive capabilities and threats to the nation from the Chinese government across supply chains and critical infrastructure.
  2. New MSSP program: Contrast Security is launching a new managed security services program (MSSP) offering to give partners the ability to support businesses of all sizes with comprehensive code security solutions and protect against growing cyber threats.
  3. Customer win: Managed cybersecurity and technology enablement company High Wire Networks, Inc.  has won an expanded $1.6 million annual contract renewal to provide a technology managed services and maintenance program for a Fortune 500 national environmental solutions provider. The renewal was secured through one of High Wire’s premier global channel partners.
  4. Friction ahead: Cybersecurity pros and GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) don’t define risk, vulnerability and threats the same way, leading to the potential for friction when it comes to cyber risk management. That’s according to a new report from RiskOptics.
  5. Unified partner program around digital trust: Digital trust provider DigiCert has announced a unified partner program, offering training, support, and tools, all enabled through a partner portal. Key program elements include an expanded portfolio opportunity and quick-start activation.
