CyFlare, an MSSP that offers managed security, managed detection and response (MDR) and security event management services, is working with Phoenix-based value-added reseller (VAR) Solution Synergy to provide security and infrastructure support to healthcare organizations across the country.

The companies have combined Solution Synergy's ZingBox Internet of Things (IoT) medical device solution, IoT Guardian, with CyFlare's managed security services to deliver a managed IoT security solution to healthcare organizations, according to a prepared statement.

With the joint solution, healthcare organizations can manage thousands of security alerts and remediate them faster than ever before, Solution Synergy President Steve Bouck said. The solution also enables healthcare organizations to analyze user device behavior, Bouck noted, to find ways to reduce their exposure to cyberattacks.

IoT Guardian automatically discovers, identifies and classifies connected medical devices to provide real-time risk analysis and visibility without installing any agents, Solution Synergy pointed out. It helps protect medical devices from internal threats and cyberattacks, Solution Synergy said, and provides real-time operational and compliance capabilities.

CyFlare delivers a 24x7 SOC to VARs. It enables VARs to leverage an SOC to provide MDR and MSSP services either powered by or as a white-label service, the company said.

What Does the Future Hold for CyFlare?

The Solution Synergy partnership represents one of several recent moves by CyFlare to help the MSSP extend its reach.

CyFlare last month opened an SOC in Victor, New York designed to help VARs offer its managed security and MDR services, the company stated. The CyFlare SOC is manned 24 hours a day by cybersecurity analysts, the company indicated, and helps VARs reduce or eliminate the costs, complexity and dependency on highly skilled cybersecurity workers.

In April, CyFlare launched web security services to help organizations clean hacked websites. These services are intended for use across Joomla, Magento, WordPress and other web publishing platforms.

CyFlare also announced a web security partner program in April for companies that provide products and solutions that enable their customers to create and maintain an online web presence. The program allows these businesses to earn monthly recurring revenue by providing CyFlare's web security services to their customers.
