Splunk, which specializes in operational intelligence and log management, has unveiled Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring, a solution that provides end-to-end security, operational and cost management insights on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company says.

The new Splunk offering surfaced today at AWS Summit in New York.

With Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring, channel partners can help customers maximize their cloud investments, Rick Fitz, Splunk's senior vice president of IT markets, told MSSP Alert.

Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring delivers predictive insights to remove the friction of cloud adoption, Fitz stated, and provides an end-to-end view of AWS environments.

The solution enables organizations to predict AWS usage and optimize their AWS infrastructure to maximize savings, according to a prepared statement. It integrates right out of the box with Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail and other AWS offerings and provides visibility into many areas of an organization's AWS infrastructure, including:

  • Configuration.
  • Health.
  • Infrastructure spend.
  • Performance.
  • Security.

Also, Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring can be deployed via AWS Marketplace to correlate AWS data with other sources across hybrid environments via a single platform with pre-built dashboards and visualizations, Splunk stated.

Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring is available as a term license on an annual basis.

Splunk and the Channel: Here's What You Need to Know

In addition to Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring, Splunk recently has launched several products that highlight its commitment to the channel.

Splunk and American management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton last month released a private beta of Cyber4Sight for Splunk, a cyber threat intelligence service that blends Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) analytics with Cyber4Sight threat intelligence solutions.

In June, Splunk introduced Splunk Insights for Ransomware, an analytics-based ransomware solution with user-based pricing. Splunk Insights for Ransomware provides organizations with real-time ransomware insights for proactive assessment and investigation of potential ransomware threats, Splunk said in a prepared statement.

Splunk recorded total revenues of $242.4 million in the fiscal first quarter of 2017, which represented 30 percent year over year growth. The company is projecting total revenues to fall between $267 million and $269 million in the second quarter.

Today, Splunk boasts more than 13,000 customers in 110 countries and provides a partner program that enables MSSPs and MSPs to leverage Splunk's operational intelligence platform to expand their service portfolios.
