MSSP Trustwave Unveils Cloud-Based Security Platform

Credit: Trustwave

Trustwave, a Top 100 MSSP, has launched Fusion -- a cloud-based security platform.

Fusion is built using SOAR layers, providing SOAR capabilities across all ecosystems and environments from third-party vendors, the company says.

Fusion connects the digital footprints of enterprises and government agencies to a security cloud comprised of Trustwave's data lake, advanced analytics, threat intelligence, security services and products and Trustwave SpiderLabs, the company's team of security specialists, according to a prepared statement. It provides internal security teams with visibility, technologies and security expertise to protect assets and eliminate cyber threats.

Key features of Fusion include:

  • Dashboard that provides a single view of cyber threats, technology management, vulnerabilities and risks across an organization's IT environment.
  • Threat intelligence from Trustwave's security operations centers (SOCs) and SpiderLabs.
  • APIs that can be used to integrate data lakes and threat intelligence from next-generation firewalls, web application firewalls, secure email gateways, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions and other third-party sources.

Fusion is expected to be a "cornerstone" for Trustwave's offerings going forward, a company spokesperson told MSSP Alert.

Trustwave Extends Global Reach

In addition to its Fusion launch, Trustwave recently has taken steps to expand globally.

Trustwave last month partnered with information technology integrator Grupo Tecno to deliver cybersecurity technologies to enterprises and other institutions in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America. Grupo Techno now provides Trustwave security services, solutions and support via a hybrid SOC comprised of Grupo Tecno and Trustwave security operations teams.

Also, Trustwave in May partnered with Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) telecommunications provider Sure. The partnership enables Trustwave to provide managed security services to Sure customers.

Updated September 5, 2019, 4:22 p.m. ET: An earlier version of this story erroneously stated that Fusion was a SOAR platform. To clarity, Fusion is not a SOAR platform. MSSP Alert apologizes for the error.
