Acalvio Technologies, a cyber deception technology company, now provides an Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) solution that organizations can use to combat identity threats and establish a zero trust architecture.
Mapping the Attack Surface
The ITDR solution leverages Acalvio's ShadowPlex Identity Protection product to map an organization's attack surface in Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Azure AD and other identity repositories, the company said. It then looks for identity misconfigurations and potential attack paths and addresses these issues.
In addition, the solution utilizes Acalvio's ShadowPlex Advanced Threat Defense product to create "honey" accounts, the company noted. From here, the solution disperses honey tokens throughout an organization's network that malicious actors can find and use. This helps an organization identify malicious actors before they can cause data breaches.
The solution can be used in conjunction with an organization's security tools, Acalvio indicated. As such, an organization can incorporate Acalvio's deception technology across its security operations.
Booz Allen, Honeywell Partner with Acalvio
The ITDR solution announcement comes after Booz Allen Hamilton, which has a Top 250 MSSP business unit, and Acalvio in July 2022 partnered to deliver cyber deception technologies to commercial and government organizations. With the partnership, Booz Allen offers Acalvio's cyber deception technologies as part of its cybersecurity portfolio, the companies said.
Previously, Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT) and Acalvio in January 2022 launched a joint solution to help organizations protect their operational technology (OT) environments in commercial buildings. This solution uses the Honeywell Threat Defense Platform (HTDP) and Acalvio's cyber deception technology to detect known and unknown threats, the companies stated.
Acalvio offers cyber deception products powered by its Active Defense Platform, which helps organizations identify cybercriminals and malicious activities across their IT environments. The company also has strategic and technology partnerships in place with CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks and other cybersecurity companies.
