RedSeal Promotes Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) to AWS, Kubernetes Customers

RedSeal, a security solutions and professional services company, has announced the Stratus Early Adopter Program for its cloud security posture management (CSPM) solution.

Customers and prospects can join Stratus to use RedSeal's CSPM solution to gain visibility into their cloud environments, the company said. That way, they can identify cloud resources that are unintentionally exposed to the public due to misconfigurations.

CSPM for AWS and Kubernetes: What's the Benefit?

In addition, Stratus participants can leverage RedSeal's CSPM solution to visualize their Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud architecture and understand the relationships between and within their cloud resources, the company indicated. They also can understand their Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) inventory and identify overly permissive user and service accounts.

Organizations in financial services, government, technology and other industries have already joined Stratus, RedSeal said. Stratus is currently focused on AWS cloud environments, but RedSeal plans to upgrade its program in 2022 to ensure organizations can use its CSPM solution across their Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes environments.

Organizations can use CSPM solutions to identify and prevent cloud misconfigurations. In doing so, they can guard against cloud data breaches and compliance violations.

Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) Market Momentum, Growth

Along with RedSeal, other cybersecurity companies to offer CSPM solutions include:

  • CheckPoint Software Technologies
  • FireEye
  • McAfee
  • Optiv
  • Sophos

Approximately 41 percent of MSSPs offered CSPM to their customers as of September 2021, according to an MSSP Alert survey of our Top 250 MSSPs.  Worldwide CSPM market revenues are projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 14.4 percent between 2020 and 2026, industry analyst MarketsandMarkets indicated. These revenues could total $9 billion by 2026, the market researcher said.
