D3 Security has released Smart SOAR, a new version of its security orchestration, automation and response solution.

Smart SOAR is designed to help MSSPs and managed detection and response (MDR) providers automatically triage threats and remediate security incidents, according to a prepared statement.

Gordon Benoit, D3's president, commented on the Smart SOAR launch:

“If your experience with other vendors has left you thinking that all SOAR can do is automate some tedious tasks, you’ll be amazed when you see how D3’s Smart SOAR can improve your detection and response capabilities. Whether or not you know it, there are gaps between your security tools. With Smart SOAR’s tool-specific, cross-stack, MITRE-compliant playbooks and deep integrations, you can conclusively close those gaps.”

What D3 Security Smart SOAR Offers

Smart SOAR enables MSSPs and MDR providers to generate, triage and correlate security alerts from cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments, D3 said. It also enriches and consolidates security alerts and eliminates false-positive alerts, D3 said.

In addition, Smart SOAR offers automated playbooks for incident remediation, threat hunting and vulnerability management, D3 noted. It also provides hundreds of out-of-the-box integrations and playbooks that scale up or down to meet any use case.

Smart SOAR is now available, and D3 will showcase the platform at the 2023 RSA Conference, which takes place April 24-27 in San Francisco, California.
