CrowdStrike Unveils Falcon Endpoint Security Professional Certifications

CrowdStrike has announced professional training and certifications for its Falcon cloud-based endpoint detection and response (EDR) platform. The professional training and certifications were unveiled at this week's CrowdStrike Fal.Con POWER UP user conference in Miami, Florida.

The professional training and certifications are designed to teach information security professionals about security threats, compliance mandates, cyberattack techniques and master threat hunting best practices, according to the company. They also empower information security professionals with skills and insights that they can use in conjunction with Falcon to bolster their threat hunting capabilities.

CrowdStrike Adds Linux, Docker Capabilities

In addition to the professional training and certifications announcement, CrowdStrike this week unveiled the following Falcon upgrades:

  • Linux and Docker Capabilities: Falcon now supports all major Linux versions and Docker containers.
  • Custom Alerts: Organizations can leverage Falcon data to build their own activity trackers and alerts.
  • Secureworks Integration: Secureworks, a Top 100 MSSP for 2018 and 2017, has introduced an integration that applies its Red Cloak behavioral analytics and intelligence to Falcon platform data.

Falcon leverages threat telemetry to process over 1 trillion security events per week, according to CrowdStrike. It also uses artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and behavioral analytics to help organizations detect and respond to cyber threats.

How Does CrowdStrike Work with MSSPs?

CrowdStrike offers the Elevate Partner Program to MSSPs, managed service providers (MSPs) and other technology providers. By doing so, CrowdStrike enables channel partners to use Falcon to provide ongoing, outsourced security services to their customers.

The Elevate Partner Program empowers channel partners to use Falcon's open framework to develop and deploy security services to safeguard their customers against cyberattacks and share threat data and actor profiles, CrowdStrike said. It also provides channel partners with access to application programming interfaces (APIs), applications and tools to accelerate threat detection and response.

CrowdStrike last month unveiled MSSP, cloud-workload procurement and original equipment manufacturer (OEM)/embedded categories for its Elevate Partner Program. Furthermore, CrowdStrike intends to explore partnerships and investments in the UK, Germany, Benelux, India, Singapore, Japan and other global regions.

The Elevate Partner Program includes at least 387 active partners, according to CrowdStrike. Meanwhile, the company reported 375 percent growth in its partner-sourced business in the first half of 2018, along with a 370 percent increase in deal registrations and 477 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for its partner-driven closed business during the time frame.
