CrowdStrike has added a Firewall Management module to its Falcon endpoint protection platform. The company unveiled Falcon Firewall Management at its Fal.Con UNITE user conference in San Diego, California.
Falcon Firewall Management is delivered via a single agent and cloud-native architecture, according to CrowdStrike. It helps organizations manage and enforce host firewall policies, protect against network threats and eliminate visibility gaps.
Introducing Falcon for AWS
CrowdStrike also has unveiled Falcon for Amazon Web Services (AWS), a container security solution that provides organizations with visibility and protection across their AWS workloads.
Falcon for AWS secures containers via a single agent, CrowdStrike indicated. It enables organizations to deploy and monitor AWS workloads at scale.
Meanwhile, Falcon for AWS can be automatically deployed as new AWS workloads are created, CrowdStrike noted. This ensures that organizations can use Falcon for AWS to maintain ongoing protection across their AWS workloads.
CrowdStrike will demonstrate Falcon for AWS at Fal.Con UNITE.
CrowdStrike Updates Falcon, Adds CrowdStrike Store Apps
In addition to Falcon Firewall Management and Falcon for AWS, CrowdStrike this week introduced the following Falcon enhancements:
- Falcon Discover: Collects inventory information on all installed applications to provide insights into software in use and help an organization identify and eliminate outdated or insecure applications and software that violates local policies.
- Falcon for Mobile: Offers visibility into malicious, unwanted or accidental activity on mobile devices to help an organization automatically uncover threats.
- Falcon Spotlight: Provides visibility into an organization's security posture.
Furthermore, CrowdStrike unveiled new CrowdStrike Store applications at Fal.con UNITE, including:
- Acalvio: Advanced threat hunting.
- Airlock Digital: Application whitelisting and control.
- Automox: Endpoint hardening and patch management.
- Dragos: Industrial control systems and operational technology threat detection.
- Exabeam: Security information and event management (SIEM), user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) and insider threat advanced analytics.
- NopSec: Vulnerability risk prioritization and management.
- RiskIQ: Attack surface management.
CrowdStrike has also launched a $20 million early-stage investment fund in conjunction with venture capital firm Accel and an initial public offering (IPO) earlier this year and continues to explore ways to extend its endpoint security market reach.
