Huntress Labs Unveils Automated Threat Remediation for MSPs, SMBs

Huntress Labs, an advanced threat detection and cybersecurity intelligence provider, has introduced the Assisted Remediation product for MSPs and small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The offering surfaced at ConnectWise IT Nation Connect 2019 in Orlando.

Assisted Remediation uses the Huntress Agent to perform cyber threat remediation actions, the company said. The product allows IT support technicians to approve and automate the commands required to address cyber threats.

Huntress partners previously received service tickets for each targeted host that provided the exact steps required to eliminate cyber threats on compromised machines, the company stated. Then, an IT support technician would need to coordinate remote access to any affected machines and manually execute all recommended remediation actions.

Now, with Assisted Remediation, Huntress partners can approve recommended cyber threat remediation actions directly from a service ticket, the company noted. This ensures that Huntress partners can use Assisted Remediation to reduce their mean time to respond (MTTR) to cyber threats and eliminate the risk of errors caused by manual workflows.

What Is Huntress?

Huntress provides a breach detection service that works in conjunction with remote monitoring and management (RMM) solutions. If the Huntress Agent discovers a data breach, it then sends remediation recommendations to an existing ticketing system or professional services automation (PSA) tool.

To date, Huntress has partnered with more than 400 organizations. Furthermore, Huntress technology has been used to discover more than 12,000 breaches.
