MSSP Deeptree has integrated Stellar Cyber security operations capabilities into its managed detection and response (MDR) platform. The Stellar Cyber integration will provide the foundation for Deeptree's next-generation security operations center (SOC), the companies said.

Stellar Cyber allows Deeptree to scale its cybersecurity services as needed, the companies stated. It provides Deeptree with a variety of security capabilities, including:

  • Cloud detection response (CDR)
  • Network detection response (NDR)
  • Security information and event management (SIEM)

In addition, Stellar Cyber enables Deeptree customers to analyze security data from existing third-party solutions, the companies stated. It also allows Deeptree customers to monitor and respond to attacks at endpoints, in the network, on servers or in the cloud or SaaS applications.

Deeptree can leverage Stellar Cyber's security operations capabilities to deliver custom cybersecurity services to its customers, the companies indicated. That way, Deeptree can use these capabilities to tailor its cybersecurity services to secure its customers' environments.

Meanwhile, the Deeptree partnership is one of several recent moves that Stellar Cyber has made to accelerate its MSSP market push. Stellar Cyber this month hired Cylance veteran Brian Stoner as its VP of service providers and raised $7.1 million in an expanded Series A funding round earlier this year.

A Closer Look at Deeptree and Stellar Cyber

Deeptree delivers cybersecurity engineer services to help organizations protect their data and avoid downtime, the company stated. It offers penetration testing, digital forensics incident response (DFIR) and security compliance program implementation services and enables organizations to watch for cyber risks and teach their employees about them.

Stellar Cyber is an XDR security startup that enables MSSPs to offer security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) and MDR-as-a-service. It also provides a multi-tenant security operations platform that allows MSSPs to manage security services for hundreds or thousands of end-users.
