Axellio, a U.S. Army cyber defense contractor, has been awarded a $39.5 million deal to continue expanding the Army’s Garrison Defense Cyberspace Operations Platform (GDP).The contract is the fourth such award for Axellio, with prior ones approved in July 2022 and November 2021 for the Army GDP version 3 and 4 programs. The deal involves the Colorado Springs, Colorado-based Axellio, in tandem with World Wide Technology and Red Hat, are delivering a mobile solution to deploy anywhere in the world.Commenting on the merits of PacketXpress:The PacketXpress framework has been successfully operationalized to monitor, detect, and analyze anomalous behavior and intrusions in the Army's Garrison networks via a permanent deployment. The solution is designed to:- Enhance the performance, efficiency, accuracy and mobility of cybersecurity missions across enterprise or tactical environments
- Operate as a mobile, disconnected solution or scaling to racks of data center solutions fully connected.
- Develop teams across Axellio, WWT and Red Hat created a high-speed data collection, storage and processing solution that allows cyber tools to more easily drop in and out of the architecture as the mission changes and technology advances
