Awake Security Unveils Managed Network Detection and Response Solution

Awake Security, a network traffic analysis provider, has launched a managed network detection and response (MNDR) solution that offers security visibility, threat hunting and incident response capabilities.

The MNDR solution enables organizations to monitor unmanaged, cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, according to Awake. It provides organizations with closed-loop communication for critical alerts via email and phone and security reports.

Awake's MNDR solution can be integrated into service provider and channel partner offerings, the company stated. This ensures that MSSPs, MSPs and other channel partners can leverage the MNDR solution to help organizations identify and contain cyber threats.

The MNDR solution is now available, and it is already being used to protect more than 1.7 million devices across organizations in sectors ranging from finance to higher education, Awake said.

The Awake Platform analyzes network traffic and autonomously identifies, assesses and processes cyber threats, according to the company. It includes the following components:

  • Awake Sensors: Monitor cloud and IoT applications, devices and users.
  • Awake Nucleus: Learns about network activities and monitors network changes.
  • Ava: Provides a privacy-aware security expert system that uses machine learning for threat hunting, research and investigation.

Awake has partnered with VMware's Carbon Black, Demisto and other cybersecurity companies. It also works with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud and other cloud platforms.
