Jask Names Kyle Derr as Chief Architect Amid Autonomous SOC, SIEM Push

Jask, an autonomous security operations center (ASOC) and security information and event management (SIEM) platform provider, has named Kyle Derr as its chief architect. Derr now oversees the Jask ASOC platform's architecture and explores ways to improve the customer design experience, the company stated.

Derr most recently served as Jask's principal platform architect. He also has held senior engineering and architect roles at Cisco Systems, Civitas Learning, AllClear ID and Rapid7.

Jask Adds Multi-Cloud Monitoring Capabilities to Its ASOC Platform

In addition to the Derr appointment, Jask last month integrated multi-cloud monitoring capabilities into its ASOC platform, resulting in a cloud-native SIEM offering. Furthermore, Jask announced integrations with AWS CloudTrail, AWS GuardDuty and VPC Flow and support for the Microsoft Graph Security API.

Jask ASOC leverages cloud capabilities so it can scale to handle any data volume, the company indicated. It also provides analytics that enable platform users to automate alert triage and monitor both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

Jask Bolsters Its Executive Leadership Team

The Derr appointment is one of several recent executive leadership moves at the company.

Jask’s Monte Sjobakken

Jask in December 2018 hired former Carbon Black executive Monte Sjobakken as its VP of business development. Sjobakken is responsible for driving Jask's global MSSP, system integration and technical alliance partnership strategies.

Also, Jask last year named Mark Boullie as its chief revenue officer and Tom Mitchell as its VP of sales for the west region. Boullie leads Jask's global enterprise and channel sales teams, business development, customer success and overall revenue operations. Meanwhile, Mitchell supports Jask's sales in the west region.
