N-able Appoints Troels Rasmussen as GM of Security Products
N-able has named Troels Rasmussen as its general manager of security products to drive the strategic direction of the company’s security product portfolio, according to a prepared statement.
Rasmussen most recently served as N-able’s head of product for tools and email security. He has been with N-able for over four years and held various roles with the company.
Rasmussen’s MSP Focus
As N-able’s general manager of security products, Rasmussen will support the company’s mission to provide “best-in-class security products, support and guidance to help MSPs and their customers stay ahead of ever-evolving IT threats,” the business said. In doing so, Rasmussen will help N-able’s MSP partners use its security solutions to protect themselves and their customers against threats.
In addition, Rasmussen said he and his team will “be 100% dedicated to ongoing discovery, collaboration and partnership.” They also will help N-able design security solutions to provide its partners with layered cyber protection.
N-able Eyes MDR Solutions for MSP Partners
Along with appointing Rasmussen as its general of security products, N-able in October 2022 announced plans to build managed detection and response (MDR) security partnerships as part of its efforts to expand its MSP ecosystem. N-able made these announcements at its Empower 2022 conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
N-able’s MDR partnerships will involve SentinelOne Vigilance Respond and Blackpoint Cyber, according to the company. The release dates for joint solutions relating to these partnerships remain unknown.
Meanwhile, N-able is looking to provide its MSP partners with MDR choices rather than building a one-size-fits-all solution, CEO John Pagliuca said. As such, N-able looks poised to provide its MSP partners with MDR and security operations center (SOC) capabilities that they can use to augment their current cybersecurity technologies.
