Axis Security, a private application access company, has launched the Axis Application Access Cloud security and analytics platform.
The Axis Application Access Cloud, based on a SaaS model, enables organizations to connect users to private applications without touching a network, the company stated. In doing so, it ensures organizations can provide secure network access to third-party supply chain partners, vendors, contractors and remote employees.
Axis Secures $17 Million in Series A Financing
In addition to its Axis Application Access Cloud launch, Axis has secured $17 million in Series A funding.
Venture capital firm Cyberstarts provided the initial investment, and TenEleven Ventures led Axis' Series A financing round. Other Axis investors included Dan Amiga, founder of web isolation solution provider Fireglass, and Michael Fey, former president of Symantec and Blue Coat Systems.
New Network Security Offerings Available
Along with the Axis Application Access Cloud, various network security offerings recently have been released to help organizations protect VPNs and other networks against cyberattacks.
Network traffic analysis provider Awake Security last month launched a managed network detection and response (MNDR) solution that offers security visibility, threat hunting and incident response capabilities. Organizations can use this solution to monitor unmanaged, cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, maintain closed-loop communication for critical alerts via email and phone and access security reports, the company said.
Furthermore, Perimeter 81 in February integrated SonicWall Capture cloud security capabilities into its network-as-a-service offering. Together, Perimeter 81 and SonicWall provide a secure access service edge (SASE) platform, the companies noted.
