BeyondTrust, a privileged access management (PAM) company, has hired SentinelOne veteran Dee Dee Acquista as its SVP of global channels and alliances. Acquista is expected to lead BeyondTrust's global channel and alliances strategy and help the company increase its channel bookings and grow its MSP offerings, according to a prepared statement.

Acquista most recently served as VP of global channels at SentinelOne, an endpoint security software provider. She also served as VP of global channels at cybersecurity solutions company Proofpoint.

BeyondTrust offers the Privilege Partner Program to VARs, solution providers and technology alliance partners. The program enables channel partners to integrate BeyondTrust's BeyondInsight IT risk management platform into their offerings.

BeyondInsight combines privilege and vulnerability management solutions to help reduce risk, address security exposures and comply with data security mandates, according to BeyondTrust. It also offers Clarity threat analytics to help channel partners identify data breaches.

What Is PAM?

Organizations can use PAM solutions to manage access and permissions for users, accounts, processes and systems across their IT environments, BeyondTrust indicated. In doing so, they can reduce their attack surface and prevent or limit damage from cyberattacks.

Along with BeyondTrust, other cybersecurity companies offer PAM solutions, including:

  • CyberArk: Provides Endpoint Privilege Manager to guard against least-privilege and credential theft across workstations.
  • OneLoginProvides the Trusted Experience Platform, which helps organizations secure their apps, users and devices.
  • ThycoticProvides Secret Server, which delivers PAM across cloud or on-premises environments.

Optiv Security, a Top 200 MSSP, also offers a Privileged Access Managed Service to help organizations safeguard their privileged data, infrastructure and assets. Meanwhile, as demand for PAM solutions increases, other MSSPs may integrate these solutions into their portfolios.
