11. Alexa Privacy Error: An Amazon Alexa user got access to more than a thousand recordings from another user because of “a human error” by Amazon, according to Reuters and a German trade publication. The report raises fresh concerns about Amazon data gathering.

9. Talent MSSP: ITC Secure (ITC), the specialist cyber advisory and MSSP, has named Arno Robbertse as Interim CEO, starting on January 1, 2019. He succeeds William Kilmer, a Managing Partner at ITC’s major shareholder, C5 Capital. We're checking to see if Robbertse will be named permanent CEO...

8. DDoS Crackdown: The FBI has seized the domains of 15 high-profile distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) websites after a coordinated effort by law enforcement and several tech companies, TechCrunch reports.

7. Carbon Black Ecosystem: The Carbon Black Integration Network (CBIN) grew more than 40 percent in 2018. The program now features 114+ partners and 150+ product integrations, the security company asserts.

6. Cylance Playbooks: Cylance has unveiled automated incident response playbooks for CylanceOPTICS customers and partners. The playbooks feature "the effective replication of security analyst decision making with no cloud or human intervention required," Cylance says.

5. Government Application Hacked: Click2Gov software, a popular payment technology primarily used by local governments to receive various payments from their residents, has suffered security breaches across nearly 50 U.S. cities, according to Gemini Advisory.

4. Patient Privacy: CynergisTek, an MSP focused on healthcare cybersecurity, privacy, and information assurance, has formed a "preferred" partnership with Protenus, a healthcare compliance analytics platform that protects patient privacy, to help health systems nationwide enhance patient privacy monitoring programs, the companies say.

3. BlackBerry Financial Results: BlackBerry revenues were $228 million in Q3 fiscal 2019, exceeding Wall Street's expectations. The mobile software company is expected to finalize the Cylance buyout in the weeks ahead.

2. MSPs Hacked: Multiple MSPs, including the service provider arms of IBM and HP Enterprise, were hacked as part of a China-led campaign, according to reports.
