Adista Group Acquires MSSP, SOC Services Provider Cyberprotect

Adista Group, a French telecommunications and B2B cloud operator backed by private equity firm Keensight Capital, has acquired security monitoring and prevention services provider Cyberprotect.

This is technology M&A deal number 784 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Adista Group, founded in 1981, is based in Lorraine, France. The company has 573 employees listed on LinkedIn. Adista Group specializes in management consulting and business advisory services.

Cyberprotect, founded in 2004, is based in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The company has 18 employees listed on LinkedIn. Cyberprotect's areas of expertise include computer and network security.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Cyberprotect represents "an integral part of Adista Group's growth strategy," the companies stated. It will operate as an Adista Group subsidiary and provide access to its managed security services and CyberproVerse security operations center (SOC) to Adista Group customers.

In addition, Cyberprotect will continue to invest in threat detection and analysis to help Adista Group further extend its cybersecurity market reach, the companies noted. It also could help Adista Group grow its revenues to €500 million (approximately $495 million) by 2026.

Adista Group Continues to Make Acquisitions

Along with Cyberprotect, Adista Group completed the following acquisitions in 2021 and 2020:

  • Waycom, a B2B digital solutions consultant and operator
  • Unyc, a telecom services provider
  • Fingerprint Technologies, a digital solutions integrator and host and telecom operator

Adista Group delivers endpoint protection, email protection and other cybersecurity services to French organizations. It recorded revenues of €222 million (approximately $220 million) in 2021, up from €153 million (approximately $152 million) in 2020.

Meanwhile, Keensight Capital holds a majority stake in Adista Group. Keensight Capital also looks poised to continue to explore acquisitions to help Adista Group further enhance its cybersecurity services portfolio.
