GoVanguard, a security awareness and protection solutions company, has purchased boutique cybersecurity firm Gotham Security. Both companies are based in New York. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is M&A deal number 506 that MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E have covered thus far in 2021.
GoVanguard and Gotham Security each have eight employees listed on LinkedIn.
What Is Gotham Security?
Gotham offers security assessments that leverage global threat intelligence and dark web research, the company said. These assessments include:
- Penetration Testing: Identifies potential social engineering attacks, physical security liabilities, insider threats and advanced persistent threats.
- Phishing Assessment: Analyzes an organization's phishing vulnerability and provides reports on user behavior, areas of weakness and improvement and progress.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Evaluates vulnerabilities within an organization's systems and recommends mitigation procedures to address them.
Gotham also provides compliance and risk management services customized to the requirements of organizations within financial services, healthcare and retail, the company indicated. These services help organizations develop and implement security programs and comply with industry mandates.
