Guidepost Solutions, an investigations, compliance solutions, monitoring, security and technology consulting firm, has purchased an equity stake in cybersecurity company Truvantis. The percentage ownership figure and deal valuation were not disclosed.
This is technology M&A deal number 311 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.
The Guidepost-Truvantis alliance focuses on such areas as threat, risk, vulnerability management, privacy and assessment services. The companies will also coordinate efforts to deliver such services as:
- Risk assessment
- Security testing
- Cyber investigation
- Cybersecurity governance
- Data protection

Truvantis delivers various security testing services, including:
- Policy & Procedure Development: Helps organizations establish policies and procedures for managing documents.
- Penetration Testing: Allows organizations to assess their security posture and identify any security gaps.
- Risk Assessments: Enables organizations to evaluate security risks and explore the best ways to address them.
Truvantis offers a partner program that lets MSSPs and MSPs integrate its security testing services into their portfolios. To date, Qualys, KnowBe4 and several other companies that provide security offerings to MSSPs and MSPs have joined Truvantis' partner program.
Truvantis expands Guidepost's security capabilities and global footprint, CEO Julie Meyers Wood said. It allows Guidepost to deliver unique security solutions to help organizations guard against current and emerging cyber threats.
Guidepost Solutions Business Focus
Meanwhile, Guidepost has roughly 200 IT professionals who support 10 companies that rank among Fortune 20 businesses. Also, Guidepost supports 98 legal firms within the AmLaw 100 list.
Guidepost also has M&A experience. The company in 2019 acquired Custom Information Services (CIS), a provider of reputation management services.
Guidepost provides cybersecurity consulting solutions to help organizations detect and remediate cyberattacks. The company does not currently offer a partner program but may look to provide one in the future.
