Herjavec Group’s Majority Owner Raises $1.75B for More Acquisitions

Private equity firm Apax Partners, the majority owner of Herjavec Group -- a Top 250 MSSP -- has raised $1.75 billion for a new fund that will target additional investments and buyout opportunities in software, Internet and tech-enabled services companies.

Will the new Apax fund seek to acquire additional MSSPs? We can't say for sure. The private equity firm's investments typically involve technology, services, healthcare and/or Internet/consumer opportunities.

Also of note: Apax has considerable experience in the cybersecurity market. Previous investments include Coalfire in 2020 and Sophos in 2010. (Private equity firm Thoma Bravo now owns Sophos.)
